This year, the Iowa DNR will conduct Minor Source Emissions Inventory (MSEI) SPARS training via a webinar. The MSEI SPARS training webinars are scheduled for Wednesday, March 2 from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. and for Thursday, March 10 from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m.

The webinars will cover the following topics:

• How to submit your emissions inventory electronically via SPARS (State Permitting and Air Reporting System).
• How to ensure the data is correct and submitted on time.
• How to use your previous emissions inventory as a template.
• How to create a new emissions inventory from scratch.
• Data entry and the management of existing data in SPARS site management. This includes data related to facility location, emission points, emission units, emission processes, and control and monitoring equipment.
• Frequently asked questions and tips.
