Gasoline Bulk Plants: Online Workshop and Compliance Calendar Offered by UNI
Posted: 01/04/2011

The University of Northern Iowa (UNI) provides technical assistance to small businesses dealing with state and federal air emission regulations. In conjunction with the DNR and the Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Stores of Iowa (PMCI), UNI has offered several hands-on workshops throughout the state to gasoline bulk plant owners and operators. With assistance of the DNR, UNI also produced a video detailing the requirements of the rule and how to complete the required Iowa permit template application. The video and presentation materials are available at http://www.iwrc.org/services/IAEAP/6BWorkshop.cfm.

If a bulk plant owner or operator is not familiar with the 6B requirements or has not yet completed the application for a bulk plant permit, the DNR and the UNI recommend watching this video.

UNI and its partners also created a Compliance Calendar/Logbook to help regulated facilities. For questions on 6B, the UNI video, or to obtain a free Compliance Calendar/Logbook, please contact Dan Nickey at nickey@uni.edu or by phone at (319) 273-6588.
