Lori Hanson assumes duties as Title V Operating Permit Section Supervisor Feb. 1

Lori Hanson has been named supervisor of the Title V Operating Permit Section for the DNR Air Quality Bureau, announced Air Quality Bureau Chief Catharine Fitzsimmons today.
Hanson has lead the DNR air dispersion modeling staff for 10 years. Prior to that she served as a dispersion modeler for another five years. She earned a bachelor of science degree in geology from the University of Iowa, and a master of science degree in geology from Northern Arizona University. In addition to the extensive technical training Hanson has pursued throughout her career, she is now working on completing the certified public manager program at Drake University.
“During Lori’s tenure with the Iowa DNR she has developed an excellent reputation for her expertise in applying and evaluating ambient air assessments. Her aptitude for providing viable alternatives to overcome permitting hurdles has and will continue to help the bureau achieve greater permitting efficiencies. We look forward to Lori's leadership of the Title V Program," said Chief Fitzsimmons.
