INDIANOLA - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has shut off the water at Lake Ahquabi State Park to repair a leak in the main water line that was discovered Friday morning. The DNR is working to schedule a contractor to repair the line next week.

The leak was discovered in the main water line running under a creek bed, below the lake spillway.

The DNR has notified campers in the campground and is in the process of contacting those with reservations. Lake Ahquabi, about five miles south of Indianola, is one of the busiest campgrounds in the state.
