WATERLOO - George Wyth State Park is closed due to minor flooding. Currently, water is over the road near Brinker Lake and by the lodge.
"We are temporarily closing the park for safety reasons," said Gary Dusenberry, park ranger at George Wyth.
Water is expected to continue to rise for a short time and then recede over the weekend. The park is predicted to reopen Sunday morning, but visitors are encouraged to call the park at 319-232-5505 to confirm.
