New e-Reporting System – It’s here. It’s easy. It’s intuitive. It’s SLEIS The DNR is excited to offer a new online emissions inventory reporting tool called the State & Local Emissions Inventory System (SLEIS). The new web-based system has been pre-populated with four years of emissions data from SPARS (2011 – 2014), allowing for simpler and streamlined reporting. Also, SLEIS offers the option of importing emissions data via a spreadsheet template, significantly reducing data entry for facilities with a large number of emission processes. For more info about accessing your facility’s data in SLEIS and e-reporting, please visit www.iowadnr.gov/eAirServices or contact us at email@example.com
Also available as a more limited option for facilities that may not quite be ready to transition to SLEIS this year, is the DNR’s legacy SPARS system. This is the final year that SPARS will be available for emissions inventory reporting. If your facility is interested in this option, please contact us at SPARShelpdesk@dnr.iowa.gov for additional info.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How do I access and log-in to SLEIS?A: The homepage for SLEIS is https://programs.iowadnr.gov/sleis/. If you already have an active SPARS user account, your e-mail address has been copied to SLEIS and your password will just need to be reset. Instructions for resetting your password and creating a new SLEIS user account are available on the SLEIS Preview Webinar PowerPoint (slides 7 – 12).
Q: When can I log-in to SLEIS and begin working on my emission year 2015 report?A: Please logout of the SLEIS database by 2:00 P.M. on December 17, 2015. The DNR anticipates completing its final production load of SPARS data to SLEIS by December 22, 2015, at which time SLEIS will be open for business. This date will be confirmed on the ‘News’ section of the main SLEIS webpage.
Q: Will the DNR be conducting any SLEIS training?A: Yes. SLEIS training and workshops will be announced in early January. In the interim, please take advantage of the opportunity to review the SLEIS 101 User’s Guide and recorded Preview Webinar Videos available on the DNR’s eAirServices webpage - www.iowadnr.gov/eAirServices.
